Jack Knox studied at the Glasgow School of Art and then in Paris under the tutelage of Andre Lhote from 1958 – 59. He later became a lecturer at Duncan of Jordanstown College of Art, Dundee from 1965 – 1981. He began exhibiting in 1960.
