This lithograph listed belongs to the Carnival Set of 8 prints, issued by Ernest Browna and Phillips in 1904 in an edition of 50. In 1899 Conder lived for a while at William Rothenstein's house at 1 Pembroke Cottages, Edwarde's Square. The former had been practising lithography since 1893 and introduced his guest to the process by candlelight in his garden studio.
